Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the BlackTrail website, dispatcher portal, and BlackTrail Driver app.

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able and authorized to use the service for freight operations. Keep your credentials confidential, provide accurate account information, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Driver location and active loads

The driver app uses precise location during active deliveries so authorized dispatch personnel can monitor pickup, transit, delivery, and exceptions. Do not disable required tracking during an active load except when necessary for safety, law, or an emergency; contact dispatch when tracking is interrupted.

Safe and lawful use

Never interact with the app while driving when doing so would be unsafe or unlawful. Follow traffic laws, carrier requirements, shipment instructions, and applicable safety rules. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or access data outside your authorization.

Load information and evidence

Submit accurate status updates, timestamps, photos, Bills of Lading, Proofs of Delivery, and exception details. You must have authority to upload submitted content and must not knowingly submit altered, deceptive, unlawful, or unrelated material.

Communications and user content

Do not submit threats, harassment, hateful or discriminatory content, sexual or exploitative material, spam, fraud, illegal content, or content that violates another person's rights. BlackTrail may review reports, remove content, restrict accounts, or contact appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary. Use the in-app message actions to report objectionable content or block its sender.

Rates and settlements

Load rates and estimated earnings shown in the app are operational records and may be corrected for agreed adjustments, disputes, or data errors. Version 1 does not initiate payments inside the driver app; settlement and payment are handled through BlackTrail's separate business process.

Availability and changes

The service may be interrupted by connectivity, device permissions, maintenance, mapping providers, or events outside BlackTrail's control. BlackTrail may update or suspend features to protect users, freight, or the service and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Account deletion and retained records

Drivers may request account deletion in the app or at our deletion page. BlackTrail may anonymize and retain operational records when reasonably needed for tax, safety, fraud prevention, contractual, dispute, or legal obligations.
